Direction: From Shyambati canal more towards Prantik station road, take 1st left towards Taltore and then 1st right in 100 mtrs, straight to our property.
Landmark: opposite APA Bari ( অপা বাড়ী)।

By Rail :
The most convenient way to reach Shantiniketan is by train. Bolpur railway station is approximately 4-5 km away, and Prantik railway station is just 1 km away from Prarambha – The Stone House. Bolpur is well-connected to Howrah and Sealdah stations in Kolkata. Several trains, including Bande Bharat, Padatik Express, Shantiniketan Express, Rampurhat Sealdah Intercity Express, Kanchanjunga Express, and Satabdi Express, run regularly between Bolpur and Kolkata. Upon reaching the station, you can take a Toto or rickshaw to reach the homestay. The landmark for directions is opposite Shyambati Falls or near Shyambati More.
By Road :
Traveling by road is another convenient option from Kolkata. Regular bus services operate between Shantiniketan and cities such as Kolkata, Durgapur, and Guwahati. Many travelers prefer driving the 180 km journey to Shantiniketan, which takes around 3.5 to 4 hours. The road trip offers a picturesque journey through Bengal’s countryside.
To reach Prarambha by car, take the route via Sonajhuri Haat or Viswa Bharati campus. From there, head to Shyambati More (crossing), take the road towards Prantik Station, take the first left after 200 meters towards SayorBithi Park / Rotary Club, and then take the first right after 50 meters.
